If you know me, you’d know how much I love horses. If I could keep mine in my backyard, I would. So when this bride first emailed me and mentioned that her wedding would take place at a barn, I think my heart skipped a beat.
Through the power of social media, Melissa had found me. Melissa & Tony’s wedding was a week after my own, but nothing was stopping me from photographing their special day. The couple was my first from Wantagh, and having them drive around the block to my office was truly an amazing feeling.
On October 18th, 2014, I made my way to Riverhead. The location, the details, the color palette, and of course the couple is what makes this collection so wonderful. Being it was a week after my own wedding, I could truly appreciate all these things Melissa had done. As she prepared to see Tony for the first time, it was like I could feel that excitement again. My favorite photograph from their collection is the embrace between the two during the first look. There is truly nothing like it.
Melissa is not only a client but she is now a friend (and it’s not just because she gave me a cupcake in a jar at the end of a magical night). Did I mention they had a pizza truck too? Just saying… I am so lucky to be able to have such an amazing relationship with everyone I photograph, and wish this sweet sweet couple all the happiness in the world.
